Behind the Scenes with Harmony Dine and Elia Kuhn Photography
At Harmony Dine, we are passionate about creating beautiful moments, not just through our premium dinnerware collections but also through the experiences and stories that surround them. Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the talented photographer, Elia Kuhn, during a trip to the picturesque south of France, and I’m excited to share the experience with you.
It all began with a recommendation from a friend in La Garde Freinet, a quaint village nestled in the hills above Saint-Tropez. After seeing Elia’s work on Instagram, I knew she was the perfect person to capture the essence of our Harmony Dine collections. Her eye for detail and her ability to bring out the natural beauty of her surroundings made her the ideal photographer for this project.
We scheduled a photoshoot, and I even rearranged my travel plans to fit into her busy calendar. I was eager to see how our plates would come to life through her lens. We met in the charming village of La Croix Valmer, where we shared coffee and discussed our vision for the shoot. Elia understood the aesthetic I was aiming for immediately, and her enthusiasm matched mine as we began brainstorming locations.
Our journey took us to Couleurs Jardin, a stunning restaurant located right on Plage de Gigaro. The warm hospitality of the restaurant staff made the experience even more special. They graciously offered us a beautiful spot in the corner, giving us the perfect setting to photograph our plates in a natural environment. As we set up, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement—this was exactly the kind of setting I had envisioned for Harmony Dine.
As Elia worked her magic, capturing our plates against the backdrop of the serene beach and vibrant restaurant, something unexpected and wonderful happened. The chef, noticing our shoot, took an interest in our plates. After a brief conversation, he generously offered to prepare a dish for us, presenting a gorgeous sea bass tartare on one of our plates. The vibrant colors of the dish against our porcelain were stunning. As if that weren’t enough, he later brought out a beautifully crafted dessert and cocktail, which allowed us to showcase even more of our collection.
It was a magical experience—one where everything came together perfectly: the setting, the food, the atmosphere, and the people. I couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better team to work with. Elia captured the spirit of Harmony Dine in a way that was both natural and elegant, highlighting the versatility and beauty of our products.
At Harmony Dine, we believe that every meal is an opportunity to create lasting memories, and this experience reminded me just how true that is. From the shores of the Mediterranean to your own dining table, our plates are designed to bring joy and beauty to every meal.
